The
"This is Your Life" Concept We are
Copyright Compliant. The music contained in the Tributes is used under licence from Phonographic Performance NZ Limited on behalf of the copyright owners. Music from Legal copies of store-bought CDs or iTune downloads, from any artist can be used to make your Tribute. The affect is amazing, the music sets the emotional theme, and when it’s blended into the transitions (fades), it’s like watching a professional movie clip that leaves a lasting impression, and most often – tears of remembrance. |
Photographic Tributes are your photos and slides, made into a movie backed by your favourite music, and saved on DVD. Your images become … a moving movie of memories, a music video, a pictorial history, a time capsule... “A
Photographic Tribute”. Picture this… …as music plays, we travel within the photo; zooming and panning, until the subject is fully appreciated. A transition could be a fade-in or page turn – one of 50 effects, as the next photo replaces the last in a seamless 24 frames-a-second movie motion. It truly is a
movie made from stills. Free DVD Sampler (DEMO) Download and print off our Order
form incl. Duration Table. Calculate the photo to music ratio. (How long will the tribute go for?) Often seen at funeral services, it is now turning Milestone Birthdays 21st, 50th, any birthday, into a surprise “This is Your Life!” event! Great for the anniversary of your parents, or In Memory Of a life passed away that time now permits they be remembered in a more comprehensive way. Photographs regardless of how small, are enlarged and copied. Hidden albums release their treasures. Slides that have long since been viewed with projectors are now printable, and are once again exposed to new generations! A Basic Package (ideal for a 21st) is a Tribute containing up to 40 images and usually plays for 6 - 8 minutes. (2 or 3 songs) We try to aim for 10 seconds exposure per photo. Larger quantities for “This is Your Life!” epics, when you want to tell a fuller story, may have 50 to 120 images and play for up to 8 - 20 mins of music. As well as the movie DVD, the photos and/or slides are saved onto a separate data cd for safekeeping, printing, and easy distribution. The Tributes are produced on a region free dvd, and both
the dvd and cd are supplied inside a durable twin DVD case, with a unique
slipcover designed from the subject. |

This can become a “This
is Your Life!”
moment in the life of someone you love. Why wait? I have created tributes for many occasions, and
sadly mainly for funerals. It
inserts a spirit of adoration and softens the sadness. I receive many
touching accolades after the initial viewing, additional orders for copies
support those opinions, but the one dampener I hear the most is… “It was a pity those honoured
weren’t here to see how much we treasured their lives”. Organise
a “This is
Your Life!” moment
for someone you love. It doesn’t have to be a surprise, it could be a
combined effort, a positive project that will spark memories of better
days and tales that will be lost if not shared. Don’t be shy about it; a lot
may depend on you making the first move. The Right
Occasion?
Milestone Birthdays: 21st, 40th..50th..80th.. or the
next birthday. Weddings: their life before marriage (baby to courting to
engagement party) is displayed during the signing of the register. Wedding Anniversaries. Your parents have everything
else. As a gift, who needs a special occasion? Think of friends
currently in a Hospice, and enjoy it with them! Funerals. It inserts a spirit of adoration, softening
sadness into pride. In Memory Of: Maybe a year after their passing, a more complete “This is Your Life!”
could be compiled as time now

The DVD opens onto a TV Title page The DVD comes in a durable dual case. The DVD has a custom designed Cover Page. Video Samples of Tributes. Warning - large Hi-Quality video
downloads below. Dial-up connections download at about 14mb an hour at
best. Sample
1 – Tribute.wmv (12.1Mb) – Broadband version This Tribute plays for 4’.45” and contains 34 photos, it
was made for a 40th birthday. Sample
2 – Tribute.wmv (14.7 Mb) - Broadband version This Tribute is typical of the Funeral, or In Memory Of ones. This tribute has 41 Photos and two older, shorter songs that run for 4.40 mins in total. (about 7 seconds per photo) Sample
2b – Tribute (sml).wmv (776kb) - Dial-up
version This is the same as Sample 2, but has been reduced in the quality in order to produce a smaller download file. (This
one is ideal for Dial-up users. It is of poor visual quality but it will give
you a general idea of the effect.) Order a

What is the Process? Hint: If you are providing photo files direct from your
computer (jpegs), then please ensure you send the largest versions of them.
(highest kb file size number) Supplying them on a cd would be the easiest
way. Hint: If you are going to scan them, please insure they
are scanned at 600 dpi, this means we can zoom inside a small photo without
it breaking into pixels. Hint: Allow
for a minimum of a minute of music for every 6 photos; so more than one track
may be required, and this will give the minimum of a 10 second exposure. Hint: Remember to order any copies at the same time as
the original. |
All you have to do is……download and fill in the order
form, compile and number your Photos -
Jpegs - and/or Slides in the order you wish them viewed. Buy a 5B pencil as it writes on
a variety of paper. Pens are often pushed harder and
tend to leave impressions; they can also transfer ink to other photos. They
must be supplied loose. Choose some music, this can be
the hardest part. Once received, the package will
take approximately two weeks to complete & return. I’ll do the rest by scanning the
photos, make any enhancements to improve their appearance, add transitional
effects, pan and zoom, add the background music, burn it onto a region free
DVD, and finally design the T.V. Title and Cover pages. The Procedure: 1.
Make contact via email regarding any questions you
might have about the process, or what you need to provide. I may already have
your music of choice. 2.
Forward the photos and the music to me, and on
completion I will forward my account details for depositing into a Westpac
account. 3.
Once the payment has been confirmed, your
originals, plus the traceable DVD package will be sent to via NZ Couriers. 4.
A Master Copy will be held on file for all future
orders of duplicate sets. |

How Big & How Much? Tributes
are priced as below:
Additional
copies are just the same as the original, containing both the DVD Tribute and
data CD with the stored photos. Allow up
to two weeks for your tribute to be
completed & returned.

Most seem happy with one of 40 - 60 photos for a special person, or two presentations (movies) of 40 photos in length, depicting different subjects or eras. Really, if you want an epic with every photo you’ve found, and I mean into the hundreds – lets do it for the preservation of your family’s history. What a fantastic way of storing and viewing, just like watching the History Channel but with music. There is no limit as to how many photos a Tribute contains. However the Tribute can only play for one hour of music. The biggest one we’ve done so far had 5 different tributes, totalled 383 images, and collectively played for 47 minutes. Of course you could just watch one of the 12-minute tributes if you were pressed for time. We
can have up to 6 Tributes on a DVD, this is ideal should you want one DVD
containing separate Tributes, either one for each child, or maybe a wedding
one with life before marriage (yes - including baby photos), the Engagement
party, and the actual Wedding day. The *Basic Package:
contains up to 40 photos, and has approximately 6 - 8 minutes of music. Ideal
for a 21st. *$120.00
