How to Make a Copy Of your Address Book – Outlook Express

 

You will want to do this periodically because;

˙    you need to save a spare copy outside of your computer in case a failure,

˙    you want to transfer your addresses from your old computer to the new one,

and you will need either a memory stick, floppy disc, or know how to email it in order to transport it.

 

1.       Inside Outlook Express, click on Address Book along the top toolbar.

2.     Inside the Address Book, click on the File Menu>Export>Address Book (WAB) as in graphic.

3.     Find  the Drive or Folder you wish to Save it in, name the new file and click Save. Make sure you have your memory stick inserted so that the drive shows up.

4.     That’s it! To use that address book on a new computer, you will have to do the same as the above only this time it will be Import Address Book (WAB) and navigate to the drive you have stored the spare file on.

 

This is a very simple lesson that most people never bother with, don’t be caught out.
